Dodge Announces Details for 2016 SRT Hellcat Production & Ordering
Automaker is more than doubling production for 2016 to meet “unprecedented demand”
When the 2015 Dodge Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcats launched, not even the manufacturer was prepared for the response. “[It] was absolutely unprecedented, but then again, these 707-horsepower muscle cars are unprecedented,” said Tim Kuniskis, President and CEO, Dodge and SRT brands, FCA US.
This time, Dodge is ready. The automaker just announced its plan of attack for 2016 SRT Hellcat production—including more than doubling 2015 production levels and offering discounted pricing to customers who purchased a 2015 SRT Hellcat that wasn’t produced.
All remaining scheduled 2015 SRT Hellcat orders will be built at Brampton (Ont.) Assembly. Unscheduled 2015 orders will be cancelled; however, these customers will be eligible for discounted pricing on 2016 models. At Heritage CDJR Harrisburg, Owings Mills & Parkville, we know just how passionate and loyal Dodge fans are, and we’re thrilled to see Dodge giving back in such a big way.
Dealers will be eligible for new 2016 SRT Hellcat orders based on past Dodge sales performance. The first half of dealer’s model year allocations started arriving in August—the second half will be delivered in February 2016. We will only be able to order our given allocation, which means our Challenger SRT Hellcat and Charger SRT inventory will be extremely limited.
If you’ve been waiting for the right time to get in on the SRT Hellcat experience, the 2016 model year is the best opportunity yet. Both Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcat models will come with a new ultra-premium Laguna Leather interior and an 8.4” Uconnect® system with navigation, HD radio, and five years of SiriusXM Travel Link and SiriusXM Traffic.
Don’t wait to let us know you’re interested—contact us at Heritage CDJR Harrisburg, Owings Mills & Parkville for more info on our SRT Hellcat offerings before they’re gone.
