Under the hood, the Wrangler possesses a 17.3 kWh battery, which takes just a few hours to fully charge on a Level 2 charger and offers approximately 21 miles of electric range. Homeowners may choose to install a Level 2 charger at their residence for quick charging sessions, but the vehicle will also charge at a slower rate on any standard 110W outlet.
The batteries are fully sealed in a waterproof casing, which means it’s possible to take the Wrangler through water crossings up to 31.5 inches deep without causing any harm to the vehicle. This capability matches that of the gas-powered Wrangler, so drivers don’t sacrifice any off-road capabilities when they adopt the plug-in hybrid Wrangler. Jeep is currently working on expanding its charging network across America to make it easier to charge while away from home.

In addition to features designed to make off-roading easier, the Wrangler also comes with some excellent creature comforts. For sound, the 2023 Jeep Wrangler 4xe features an Alpine Premium Audio System with an all-weather subwoofer, a 552-watt amplifier, and an innovative overhead sound bar. The Wrangler also features available dual-zone climate controls and available heated seats, and a heated steering wheel.
The Wrangler is also outfitted with convenient technology, like a 4G LTE wi-fi hotspot, an 8.4-inch touchscreen with voice recognition, and an available navigation system. Drivers may upgrade their Wrangler with a forward-facing off-road camera, as well as unlock their vehicle with the Jeep Remote Proximity Keyless Entry system, which will unlock the Wrangler’s doors whenever the vehicle senses a nearby keyfob.
