Celebrating Initial Quality Improvements for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles
The company has improved across all brands in the latest J.D. Power Initial Quality Study℠
There are a lot of reasons to love Fiat Chrysler automobiles. According to the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study℠, the Fiat Chrysler Automobile (FCA) brands have improved across the board for the 2017 year. As a company, FCA has improved its initial quality faster than the industry average. And—to top it all off—RAM Trucks is the industry's most improved truck brand, boasting more than a 24 percent improvement in the brand's Initial Quality score from the 2016 study.
What is the study?
The Initial Quality Study℠ (IQS), now in its 31st year, is based on responses from a 233-question survey of nearly 80,000 purchasers and lessees of new 2017 model-year vehicles, all of whom are surveyed after owning their vehicles for 90 days. The study asks owners to identify issues with their vehicles’ design as well as any problems they’re having with them.
What does FCA have to say about its placement this year?

Which vehicles did well?
Four FCA US vehicles placed in the top three spots in their respective segments for initial quality. These vehicles include the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, the 2017 Dodge Challenger, the 2017 Dodge Caravan, and the 2017 Ram 1500.
