Overview

The 2018 Jeep® Compass combines the best of all worlds: it's practical, comfortable, and yet still rugged enough to handle a dirt road. Driving the Jeep® Compass will take any ride—whether it's a cross-country adventure or a simple daily commute—to the next level.

Coming off last year's design, the 2018 Compass features a strong chassis, plush interior, an incredible infotainment system, and advanced driver safety aids. It comes in four different trim levels: Sport, Latitude, Limited, and the all-new Trailhawk, which comes with enhanced off-road capability. A comfortable and affordable crossover SUV, the 2018 Jeep® Compass remains a contender for all the right reasons

The Perfect Ride for…

Those who like to go on weekend adventures but don't want to compromise their comfort when doing so. With 27 cubic feet of cargo space (60 if you fold down the 60/40-split rear seats), there is plenty of room to fit all your gear and luggage. Plenty of headroom and legroom and comfortable cushions allow you and your passengers to freely relax, even on longer rides.

Drive & Handling

Starting at $20,995,* the 2018 Jeep® Compass comes standard with a 2.4-liter Tigershark® MultiAir® 2 engine that delivers 180 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque. You can choose from a six-speed manual or a six- or nine-speed automatic transmission for enhanced performance and smooth shifting. Itching to take your Compass off-roading? Two available 4x4 systems—Jeep® Active Drive and Jeep® Active Drive Low on the Trailhawk—will give you all the capability you need without sacrificing efficiency.

The entry-level Sport gets an EPA-estimated 32 highway mpg and 23 city mpg, with slight variations on the other three trims.**

Key Features

Uconnect® Systems

These convenient systems let you control your entertainment, navigation, and communication features, all from the comfort of your Jeep® Compass cabin. Standard on all three systems is AM/FM radio, Bluetooth® Streaming Audio, Voice Command, and an interactive touchscreen. Uconnect® 7.0 features a 7-inch touchscreen and available Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®, while Uconnect® 8.4 NAV includes an 8.4-inch touchscreen, navigation, Siri® Eyes Free, and SiriusXM® Travel Link capabilities.

Jeep® Active Drive Low

Available on the Trailhawk, this system features a rear axle disconnect that seamlessly switches between two- and four-wheel drive when not in 4x4 mode. Active Drive Low adds a 20:1 crawl ratio and low range for Trail Rated® capability. Its featured Selec-Terrain® Traction Control System is especially useful, giving the Compass traction and all-weather capability in five different modes: Auto, Snow, Sport, Sand/Mud, and Rock. With this feature, you'll never shy away from any adventure that comes your way!

Alternative Options

For those who are looking for a slightly different driving experience, the 2018 Jeep® Grand Cherokee and the 2018 Jeep® Renegade are great choices if you still want maximum space and uncompromised comfort. The Grand Cherokee offers a bit more power (295 hp, to be exact) and cargo space (68.3 cubic feet with the rear seat folded), for those who prefer to "go big or go home," while the Jeep® Renegade goes the opposite direction—it's a bit smaller and more compact than the other two models, but what it compromises on size it certainly doesn't on features.

Any Jeep® on the market offers maximum efficiency, power, and convenience, allowing you to travel anywhere in comfort and style.
